Introducing Yazmyn Hendrix, the North London solo a cappella artist who creates her multi-genre sound around her voice and a loop station. Like fellow loop artist Laura Misch, much of Hendrix’s music explores love, life, reality and dreams through her dynamic productions as we hear in newest single ‘Be Me’. Speaking about the release, the artist shares that this “was the first song I wrote on the loop pedal, and it is about putting yourself first and finding out who you are (I wrote it when I was at Uni, just had my first proper break-up, met someone else who was actually the perfect person to help me find myself because he genuinely wanted me to find out who I was and support me in it. Really nice guy!). It's also about the conflict between having the awareness of your flaws and finding it hard to change them despite your new-found knowledge. I guess it's a coming-of-age song, about identity.
